Please ensure you read this thoroughly. The intent is to determine by, for, and in Public Opinion as to the Guilt or Innocence of Anonymous. Also to label them Public Enemy or Patriots. Anonymous. A group, large group apparently of online activists determined to protect free speech and the free internet has been in absolute opposition to the PIPA (Protect IP Act) and SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) legislation from day one. If this was not enough to be concerned with, on the 19th of January 2012 the FBI served some 20 warrants, if not more, on a large file sharing website named Megaupload.com. This involved residents and or citizens of several different countries including but, not limited to New Zealand, Germany, Turkey, Hong Kong……on foreign soil.

This apparently, considering actions taken within an hour by the group Anonymous, enraged them further as if they were not already miffed over the PIPA and SOPA legislation. The Internet War raged into the night.

Anonymous claims to have effectively and easily rendered the following websites and their respective Internet capabilities useless. This has been more than sufficiently verified by Global Mainstream Media and others by simply going to the sites and checking last night while the Cyber War Raged.

It has been reported that it took little effort on Anonymous members part. They did not hack into the sites but, rather disabled them using DDos attacks (distributed denial-of-service attack). A common method of attack involves flooding the target server or computer with external communications requests to the point that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic, or it responds so slowly that it essentially becomes useless and unavailable.

Such attacks usually lead to a server overload. Simply put, DDoS attacks are implemented by either forcing the targeted server or PC to reset, or using up its resources so that it can no longer provide its intended service or at minimum highly interferes with the communication between the intended users and the attacked server or computer so that they can no longer communicate adequately.

The following Websites, and Internet capabilities were taken down, DDosed down or rendered useless.

At the same time if you strongly oppose Anonymous and allow the ones for Anonymous to rule the day and make them to be Patriots . You as well have betrayed your own value system.

The results will render Public Opinion as to Anonymous being Patriots or Public Enemy and worthy of the title public enemy as I am sure the aforementioned sites and or owners are thirsty for the blood of Anonymous. Whatever you as the public desire you had best place it here as you never know. Public opinion in times of elections make things happen or not happen. So who is for, and who is against Anonymous?

You are not going to get into trouble for voicing your opinion. After all we do still as of today have “That Piece of Paper” The United States Constitution.

After last night some may be afraid to vote against Anonymous. Do not be, after all, is not their platform, and what they are fighting for, free speech, and free expression?

Let us take a look at PIPA and SOPA First:

Pros verses Cons of the PIPA (Protect IP Act) and SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act)

Pros

• The government is more capable of pursuing copyright violations that occur on the web.
• It gives the government more authority in prosecuting those who produce counterfeit goods and sell them online.
• In theory, it will boost revenues for the entertainment industry, which has suffered greatly from online content theft in recent years.

Cons

• Major websites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube will be forced to patrol user content to ensure it doesn’t contain links to pirated content.
• New Internet start-ups will be more reluctant to locate in the US when they can choose countries with less restriction.
• Could potentially push jobs overseas when US Internet companies relocate to avoid strict regulation.
• The three cons above are important, but the main protest point is that SOPA and PIPA represent the government extending its reach into our lives at a previously unseen level. Basically, it starts the US on a slippery slop of censorship with the question being: if they can control our Internet, what can’t they do?
• Government has already done this with the Patriot Act and then the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 HR Bill 1955 and Senate Bill S 1959 which the government claimed was not aimed at United States citizens, but rather foreign terrorists who may reside here. *May want to Google these if you are unaware. Makes for interesting reading for those who never knew of them.
• With this bill being passed it would have the potential to destroy entire sites like Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter. Which happen to be a few of the places where people still have jobs left.
• Doing something as simple as posting a link to your favorite song or even just allowing a song to play in the background while making a video not even realizing it could get you in reality up to 5 years in prison.
• You could be like the mother a couple of years ago who made a video of her baby in a walker dancing to a song and the mother feeling it was so cute loaded it own YouTube and found herself in loads of legal trouble. Only you will not get off so light under SOPA, and PIPA.

I will simply play the role of Judge and by position and definition in our legal system and structure, as stated above, I must remain unbiased, and impartial regardless of my personal views, thoughts, desires or convictions.
